Your data, your control
Delete your account & data
Continuing beyond Kaironos's limited first-reading preview requires an account. You can permanently remove that account and its data at any time. Here's exactly how, and what happens.
1. Delete your account from inside the app (recommended)
Open Kaironos and tap Profile.
Scroll to Account Actions and choose Delete Account.
Choose Continue, then confirm Delete Forever.
If your account uses Sign in with Apple on iOS, sign in again with the same Apple account. Kaironos verifies that it is still deleting the selected account and revokes the Apple authorization. If authentication or revocation fails, deletion does not start.
The backend deletes your RevenueCat customer first, then active Kaironos account data, and then the Firebase sign-in identity. The app signs out, clears notifications and local storage, and returns to onboarding.
If active Kaironos data has already been erased but a connected-service deletion cannot be confirmed, the app shows Deletion In Progress and a durable backend job retries that remaining stage automatically.
2. Prefer email? Request deletion by email
Email contact@million-picks.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your account. We'll verify the request and explain the required next steps. If your account is linked to Sign in with Apple, you must complete the in-app Apple reauthentication and revocation step before server deletion can begin.
3. Cancel your subscription first (if you have one)
Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a paid subscription. Subscriptions are billed by the app stores, so cancel through the store:
- Apple App Store (iPhone/iPad): Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Kaironos → Cancel Subscription.
- Google Play (Android): Play Store app → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Kaironos → Cancel subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
4. Removing on-device data
In-app account deletion attempts to cancel scheduled notifications, sign out Firebase and RevenueCat, and clear Kaironos data from AsyncStorage and SecureStore. If the app reports that local cleanup was incomplete, uninstall Kaironos to remove the remaining device cache. Uninstalling by itself does not delete your server-side account — use step 1 or 2 for that.
5. What is deleted, and what is retained
| Data | What happens on deletion |
|---|---|
| Profile and sign-in identity | Email, name, provider links, sessions, profile data, and the Firebase Authentication identity are deleted. For linked Apple accounts on iOS, Kaironos revokes the Apple authorization before the backend deletion request starts. |
| Birth details and reports | Birth data, charts, predictions, saved reports, partner-linked compatibility reports, and reproducible astrology caches are deleted. |
| Questions, readings, and feedback | Question history, readings, ratings, preferred responses, outcomes, safety reports, and related usage records are deleted. |
| Notifications, referrals, and experiments | Push tokens, user-linked delivery logs, referral records, offer state, and experiment assignments/exposures/conversions are deleted. |
| Optional "Help improve Kaironos" data | New opt-ins are unavailable and automated production-text harvesting is disabled. Existing consent is withdrawn. No harvested-feedback corpus exists in Kaironos source history. |
| RevenueCat subscription profile | The RevenueCat customer associated with your Kaironos account is permanently deleted before local account data. This does not cancel store billing. |
| App-store purchase & refund records | Retained by Apple / Google under their own legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention policies; Kaironos cannot erase those store-controlled records. |
| Operational logs and backups | Anonymous IP/idempotency records expire after 35 days, expired sessions after 30 days, and notification-delivery logs after 90 days. Encrypted database backups normally age out within 14 days and are used only for disaster recovery. |
De-identified data that can no longer reasonably be linked to you may be retained. For anything else, contact us and we'll help.
