Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Kaironos (the "app"), published by Kaironos LLC ("Kaironos," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the app. Kaironos is an astrology and entertainment app that answers yes-or-no questions using traditional astrology. Please also read our Terms of Service.
1. Accounts & who this applies to
Kaironos offers a limited first reading without an account. To save that reading, continue using the app, or purchase a plan, you create an account with Google, Apple, or an email address and password, handled through Google Firebase Authentication. Creating an account means we hold a small profile for you (see below). If you never create an account, we do not build an account profile for you.
This policy applies to the Kaironos mobile app and this website.
↑ Back to top2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details — your email address, display name, the sign-in method you chose (Google, Apple, or email), and a profile image URL if your sign-in provider supplies one. Authentication is provided by Google Firebase, which assigns your account a unique identifier.
- Birth details — the birth date, birth time (if known), and birth place you enter so the app can calculate charts for questions that use your personal chart. You can use much of the app without providing a birth time.
- Your questions and readings — the questions you ask, the readings the app returns, and any rating or feedback you choose to give on a reading.
Information collected automatically
- Basic usage & device data — limited technical information needed to operate the service, such as your device type and app version, and request logs (which record the endpoint path, not the full contents of your requests).
- Crash diagnostics — if the app crashes or hits an error, we receive a diagnostic report through Sentry (see §7). These reports are configured to exclude personal identifiers and do not include your birth details or question text.
- Push token — if you enable notifications, a device push token so we can deliver them.
We do not access your contacts or photo library, collect health data or precise background location, or use advertising identifiers.
↑ Back to top3. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To calculate charts and generate the readings you ask for.
- To keep your history of questions and readings so you can return to them.
- To operate, maintain, debug, and improve the app (including diagnosing crashes).
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To send notifications you have enabled.
- To comply with law and enforce our Terms.
Improving the reading engine (opt-in)
Kaironos includes a setting, "Help improve Kaironos," which is off by default. If you turn it on, we may use a de-identified copy of your questions and feedback — with account identifiers removed — to evaluate and improve the reading engine. You can withdraw this consent at any time in the app's Settings; withdrawing stops future use for this purpose.
↑ Back to top4. AI processing of your questions
Kaironos generates the written portion of a reading using a third-party large-language-model service (currently Google's Gemini models via Google Cloud). To produce a reading, the text of your question and the relevant chart context are sent to that service, which returns the generated text to us. We instruct the provider to process this data to serve your request. We do not use your questions to train third-party public models. Content is also screened by automated safety checks before and after generation.
↑ Back to top6. Purchases & subscriptions
Paid plans are sold as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. Payment is handled by the app store — we do not receive or store your credit-card number. We receive your subscription status (for example, which plan you have and whether it is active) so we can unlock features. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are described in our Terms.
↑ Back to top7. Analytics, crash reports & advertising
Advertising: Kaironos contains no ads. We do not use ad networks, ad identifiers, or third-party advertising trackers.
Product analytics: we use Expo Insights to measure limited app-start and performance events associated with our Expo project. We use this operational telemetry to understand app reliability and reach. It does not include your question text, readings, birth details, email address, or precise location.
Crash reporting: we use Sentry to receive crash and error diagnostics so we can fix problems. Our configuration disables Sentry's default personal-data collection and strips request bodies; crash reports do not include your birth details or question text. See Sentry's privacy notice.
↑ Back to top8. Device permissions
The app asks for these permissions only when you use a feature that needs them, and you can decline or revoke them in your device settings:
- Location (while using the app): used only to auto-fill your birth city or current city when you set up a chart. Your location is not tracked in the background and is not used for advertising.
- Microphone & speech recognition: used only when you tap the microphone to ask a question by voice. Your speech is converted to text using your device's or platform's speech-recognition service (for example, Apple's or Google's); depending on your device, audio may be processed by that platform service to produce the transcript. The resulting text becomes your question.
- Notifications: used to deliver reminders and insights you have enabled.
We do not request camera, photo library, contacts, or health permissions.
↑ Back to top9. Notifications
If you enable notifications, we send reminders, daily insights, and similar messages. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app's settings or your device settings.
↑ Back to top10. Data retention
We keep your account, birth details, and question history for as long as your account is active so the app works as expected. When you delete your account (see Delete your data), we delete your profile, birth details, and question history from our systems. Some records may be retained where the law requires, and the app stores keep their own records of purchases and refunds under their policies, which we do not control. De-identified data that can no longer reasonably be linked to you may be retained.
↑ Back to top11. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
↑ Back to top12. Your rights & choices
- Access & export — you can request a copy of your data.
- Correction — you can update your profile and birth details in the app.
- Deletion — you can delete your account and associated data in the app, or via the instructions on our Delete your data page.
- Consent — you can turn the optional "Help improve Kaironos" setting on or off at any time.
- Notifications & permissions — you control these in the app and your device settings.

↑ Back to top13. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to and deletion of it, and to correct it, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise these rights, contact contact@million-picks.com.
↑ Back to top14. EU / UK rights
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR, including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our legal bases for processing are: performance of our contract with you (to provide the app), your consent (for optional model-improvement use and notifications), and our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service). You may withdraw consent at any time and may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
↑ Back to top15. International data transfers
Kaironos is operated from the United States, and our service providers may process your information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
↑ Back to top16. Children's privacy
Kaironos is intended for a general audience age 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
↑ Back to top17. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
