These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Kaironos LLC ("Kaironos," "we," "us") governing your use of the Kaironos app and this website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of someone else, you represent that you are authorized to do so.
Kaironos is an astrology and entertainment app. It answers yes-or-no questions using traditional astrology and generates readings with the help of automated and AI-assisted tools. Readings are interpretive and are provided for your entertainment and self-reflection.
Kaironos is for entertainment and self-reflection only. It does not provide professional, medical, psychological, legal, financial, or investment advice, and its readings are not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Do not rely on the Service to make medical, legal, or financial decisions. You are solely responsible for the decisions you make and their outcomes. If you are in crisis or may be a danger to yourself or others, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately.
You may try a limited first reading without an account. You need an account to save readings, continue using the Service, or purchase a plan. Keep your login credentials secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Kaironos offers a free tier and optional paid subscriptions (currently "Cipher" and "Cipher Pro," available monthly or annually). Paid plans are sold as in-app purchases through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are managed using RevenueCat. Prices are shown in the app and may vary by region and store.
Free trial. Some plans offer a free trial (for example, 7 days for Cipher). If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription and you will be charged. Unused trial time is forfeited when you upgrade.
Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your store account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Managing & cancelling. You manage and cancel your subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings — not by deleting the app. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds. Purchases are processed by the app stores, and refunds are handled under Apple's and Google's policies. We generally cannot issue store refunds directly.
Changes. We may change plan features or prices; changes to your current subscription price will not take effect until your next renewal, and where required we will give you notice and a chance to cancel.
Apple and Google's terms also apply to purchases made through their stores.
You keep ownership of the questions and information you submit ("your content"). You grant us a limited license to process your content to operate the Service and provide readings to you, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you turn on the optional "Help improve Kaironos" setting, you allow us to use de-identified copies of your questions and feedback to improve the reading engine; this is off by default and you can withdraw it anytime. If you send us suggestions or feedback, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.
The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, the Kaironos name, and logo, is owned by Kaironos LLC or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your own non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the Service except as allowed by law.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that readings are accurate or that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. As stated in §3, readings are for entertainment and are not professional advice. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of these may not apply to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kaironos LLC and its officers, employees, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold Kaironos LLC harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or of applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see Delete your data). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes to these Terms, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you and Kaironos LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located there, to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms requires binding arbitration or waives your right to bring a claim in court.
