Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026 · Applies to Kobble Cup on iOS and Android
Kobble Cup shows no ads, has no user accounts, does not sell your data, and does not track you across other apps or websites. We collect only the minimum needed to run the game and its optional online features.
1. Who we are
Kobble Cup is an original bubble-shooter game published by Kaironos LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what data the app processes and your choices. For privacy questions, contact support@kobblecup.app.
2. Summary at a glance
| Do we… | |
|---|---|
| Show ads? | No. |
| Require an account or your email? | No. |
| Sell or rent your data? | No. |
| Track you across other apps/websites? | No. |
| Collect your name, phone, contacts, precise location, or photos? | No. |
| Collect anything at all? | Only a random anonymous player id, an optional nickname/country, match scores, and anonymous analytics/crash data — see below. |
3. Data stored on your device
The following stays on your device only and never leaves the phone unless you play online:
- Game progression — levels completed, stars, XP, best scores, daily streak.
- Cosmetic choices — mascot species, skins, and accessories.
- App settings (and, in developer builds only, a chosen server URL).
These are stored using the operating system's local key–value store
(UserDefaults on iOS, SharedPreferences on
Android).
4. Data sent to our game server
Only if you play an online match or join the Cup Fever Tournament, we process:
- An anonymous player id — a random value generated on your device. It is not your name, email, phone number, or any account identifier.
- Your chosen nickname and chosen country flag — both optional, both picked by you. Nicknames pass a profanity filter.
- Match results / scores used to compute the global Tournament standings, and, during a live match, board snapshots and attack counts relayed to your opponent(s).
5. Analytics & crash diagnostics
If enabled in a given build, we use PostHog to record anonymous product-interaction events (e.g. "a game started", "a level was completed") and crash reports, keyed only to the anonymous player id above. This helps us fix bugs and improve the game. It is never used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
6. In-app purchases
Kobble Cup offers optional purchases (such as Remove Ads and cosmetic Pearl packs) sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. Payment is handled entirely by the store — we never see or store your card, billing address, or store account. We use RevenueCat to validate the purchase receipt and remember your entitlement so you can restore it, keyed only to the anonymous player id above.
7. What we do not collect
We do not collect your email address, phone number, contacts, precise or coarse location, photos, microphone or camera data, or advertising identifiers (IDFA/AAID). There are no user accounts and no free-text chat.
8. How we use data
- Run gameplay and save your progress.
- Power online matches and the seasonal Tournament standings.
- Validate optional in-app purchases and restore entitlements.
- Diagnose crashes and improve the game (anonymous analytics).
9. Legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the game and online features you request); and our legitimate interests in keeping the game secure, fixing crashes, and understanding aggregate, anonymous usage. Where required, analytics can be disabled in a build and no analytics are sent.
10. Sharing & service providers
- Multiplayer: during an online match your board snapshots and attack counts are relayed through our server to your opponent(s). Your nickname, country, and scores appear on the public Tournament standings.
- Processors: PostHog processes anonymous analytics/crash data and RevenueCat processes purchase-validation data on our behalf, under contract.
- We do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
11. International transfers
Our processors may store and process data on servers located outside your country. Where required, such transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses). Because the data is anonymous and minimal, transfer risk is low.
12. Data retention
Tournament standings persist on our server for the current season and are archived at season end. Because data is tied only to an anonymous, device-generated id, you can reset it by clearing the app's data or reinstalling. Anonymous analytics are retained only as long as useful for product improvement.
13. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold only anonymous, device-generated data, exercising these rights is usually as simple as resetting the app — see the next section. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any right.
14. Accessing & deleting your data
You can delete on-device data at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling. To request removal of a nickname or score from the Tournament standings, follow the steps on our data deletion page or email support@kobblecup.app with your player id (shown in the app). We will action verified requests within 30 days.
15. Security
All network traffic to our server uses encrypted connections (wss://
/ HTTPS/TLS). We limit what we collect precisely so there is very
little to protect.
16. Children's privacy
Kobble Cup does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The only user-provided content is a chosen nickname, which is filtered for offensive terms. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will remove it.
17. Do Not Track & tracking
We do not track users across third-party apps or websites, so there is no cross-context behavioural advertising to opt out of. We honour platform-level tracking choices; the app does not request the iOS App Tracking Transparency permission because it performs no tracking.
18. Third-party services
We use the following processors, each governed by its own privacy policy: PostHog (anonymous analytics/crash) and RevenueCat (purchase validation). App distribution and payments are handled by Apple and Google.
19. California (CCPA/CPRA) notice
We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. California residents may exercise access and deletion rights via the data deletion page.
20. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the game evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, noted in the app or on this site.
